Privacy policy
Effective November 6, 2026
FireSnap is a photo documentation app for restoration and insurance contractors. It is run by Norkendol LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what FireSnap collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.
Who this covers
Contractors and their teams who have a FireSnap account (“customers”), and people a customer shares a report with, such as homeowners, adjusters and other contacts (“guests”). For the jobs, photos and reports a customer keeps in FireSnap, the customer decides what goes in and who sees it; we store and process that information for them.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored only in scrambled form), and anything you add to your profile, such as phone number, job title, a short bio and a photo.
- Company details: company name, logo, phone, email, address and website.
- Job information: what customers enter about a job, such as the property address, claim and job numbers, date and type of loss, and names, phone numbers and emails of people on the job.
- Photos and their details: the original photo exactly as uploaded by the team, including information the camera stored in it (for example the time it was taken and, if the phone recorded it, its location); captions, descriptions and markup; a digital fingerprint of the file; and when the server received it.
- A history of changes: who uploaded, moved, captioned, marked up or deleted each photo, and when. This record can’t be edited.
- Reports and notes: report settings and the sticky notes people leave on reports.
- Share links: who a link was made for, its settings, and how many times it was opened and when.
- Photos sent by guests: if a customer’s link allows it, a guest can send photos. Before we keep them, they are re-saved as plain images with the location and other hidden details removed. We record the name the customer gave the link, not anything about the guest’s device.
- Technical information: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to run and protect the service.
How we use it
- To run FireSnap: store and show photos, build reports and PDFs, and share them the way customers choose.
- To keep photos trustworthy as a record: originals stay untouched, fingerprints are taken when they arrive, and the history of changes is kept.
- To sign you in, keep accounts secure, and prevent abuse.
- To send account emails, such as confirming your email address or resetting a password.
- To answer you when you contact us.
We do not sell personal information, show ads, or use tracking or advertising cookies. FireSnap does not use artificial intelligence to analyze your photos or data.
Cookies and storage on your device
FireSnap uses cookies only to keep you signed in. It also saves a few things in your browser so the app works better: unsaved report edits (so they aren’t lost if you lose signal) and display preferences such as markup colors.
Who we share it with
- The people a customer chooses. Anyone with a share link can see that report without signing in, until the customer turns the link off. Photos a customer leaves out of a report are not sent to the link. A PDF someone has already downloaded can’t be taken back.
- Service providers who run FireSnap for us: Supabase (database, file storage, sign-in and account emails), Vercel (hosting) and Cloudflare (domain name service). They handle data only to provide their services to us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of FireSnap, our customers or others.
- If the business changes hands, in a merger or sale, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
Where it is stored
FireSnap’s data is stored in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep a customer’s information while their account is open. When a company stops using FireSnap, we keep its data for 90 days (in case they come back or need to download their reports) and then delete it for good. A company can ask us to delete it sooner. Customers can also permanently delete individual photos at any time; the history then keeps a single line saying the photo was deleted, with its fingerprint, so the record stays honest. Copies in our providers’ backups may take a short time longer to be removed.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, photos are kept in private storage, and each company can only see its own information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell affected customers if a breach puts their data at risk, as the law requires.
Your choices
You can see and update your profile in FireSnap. You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, or to delete it by emailing us. If you are a guest and want photos or details about you removed, you can contact the contractor who shared the report with you, or contact us and we will pass your request on. We may need to confirm who you are before acting on a request.
Children
FireSnap is a tool for businesses and is not meant for children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell customers by email or in the app if the changes are significant.
